Sitting halfway between the world famous Shiskine Golf and Tennis Club* and the phenomenal Kinloch Hotel, Tighnamara is a great location from which to enjoy all that Blackwaterfoot has to offer, and a fantastic base from which to explore the the rest of the beautiful Isle of Arran.

Golf at Shiskine
Arran has a great range of walks. Nearby options include The Kings Caves and Machrie Standing Stones. Our firm favourites are Coire Fhionn Lochan and of course, Goat Fell.
Walking on Arran
Blackwaterfoot beach is one of the longest and most picturesque on the island. Visitors often make use of the Golf Club’s carpark just above; Ice cream from the pro shop or a coffee and cake, or delicious meal at ‘The Teeroom’.
Tighnamara is a 2 minute walk away from the local newsagent, butchers, bakery, sandwich shop and grocery shop selling local produce including milk, cheese, meat, eggs and ice cream.
Tighnamara has been designed to comfortably sleep 8 people (+ 1 travel cot is also available). A welcome folder with full instructions will be placed on the breakfast bar for your arrival.
The open plan lounge boast a large picture window offering an uninterrupted panoramic view over to Kintyre & Sanda. There is a five seater corner sofa and four additional comfy seats.
There is a TV & DVD player (and a selection of DVDs) and wifi is available for guests to use.
The lounge has underfloor heating (more info on this can be found in the house handbook on arrival) and in addition there is a log burner which guests are free to use.
The lounge flows directly into the open plan kitchen diner with patio doors leading to a small deck at the rear. The dining table can extend from 4-8 seats and guests should request how many dining seats they require for their stay so that the table can be made up accordingly.
The kitchen is well equipped with easy to use appliances such as an oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and dishwasher.
Tighnamara boasts a large west facing garden. There is space at the front of the property for two cars to park.
Tighnamara has 4 bedrooms; 2 Double bedrooms and 2 Twin bedrooms.
Double bedroom 1 has a King size bed, a generous double wardrobe with shelves and drawers and an en suite shower room.
Double bedroom 2 has a King size bed, built in wardrobe, free standing drawer units and an en suite shower room.
Both twin bedrooms have 2 single beds, a free standing drawer unit and a built in wardrobe with hanging space.
Bed linen and towels provided.
In addition to the 2 Double bedroom en suite shower rooms is a family bathroom with a bath and shower above. This is well situated for the two Twin rooms.
Hand towels, bath matts and toilet roll are provided in all 3.
Tighnamara has a travel cot (with matress and sheets) & high chair available. Please add if you wish to use these on your booking request.
Tighnamara is dog-friendly but we ask that you bring no more than two dogs with you, that they have their own suitable bedding, are not allowed on the furniture and are not left unattended at the property at any time.
